London England Nightlife - London night life is hot, lively and varied. There are loads of pubs from traditional London pubs, to music pubs; clubs from trendy in places to more traditional clubs that have enjoyed a clientele for ages, and there are restaurants galore of every ethnic cuisine and every price range. The music spots cover every type of music from hip hop to retro, trance, garage, R'n'B, indie, techno, from rock to blues, from jazz to pop. It’s all here. In a sense it’s hard to grasp it all and a look at thurday’s Evening Standard supplement Hot Tickets gives you some of the listings - hundreds to choose from. Be warned venues also change quickly, often just their name!

One of the great gig venues in London with a tradition going to 1993 when it was opened by Mean Fiddler. Live music almost all nights. Entrance about £10-12. Great venue.

Trendy nightclub in Old Street, with varied themes per night. Also live music and to keep it cool, this club has a jacuzzi and a swimming pool.

The Soho Lounge

Right in Soho, this is a sophisticated lounge bar and nightclub with wow furnishings, private little niches and leather sofas. The VIP section if the Cave. Opens around 6pm till 3 am but closed Sunday. Admission about £5 from 9pm-10 and £15 after that at the door unless you’re on the guest list!

Well known night club in a 1920’s building with wood walls and stained glass ceiling. Nice messanine where you can look down at the action on the floor. Cool and slightly weird atmosphere, all go. About £20 door charge, more for special nights.
